TELEGRAM. From the Governor of Hong Kong to the Secretary

of State for the Colonies.

Dated 9th April, 1927.

(Received Colonial Office 8.10 a.m. 9th April, 1927.)

Your telegram of 12th March. Fong Saw

I am satisfied that he was born at Shek Pik New

Territory about 1882. No birth registration existed

for that district at that time but evidence of

villagers is clear. In view of your despatch of

10th October 1899 No. 226 he is presumably a British

subject.

9 APR 1927.
